How staking Works at Vanilla Network

The Vanilla staking pool is the major staking pool offered to our investors. This staking pool is designed to reward long-term stakers who take advantage of the burning mechanism baked into the underlying protocol. Therefore, all rewards are volume based.

So how are holders rewarded?

With every buy, sell or use of our dApps; a 5% burn charge is applied. For example. if you acquire 100 token, 5 of these tokens will effectively be burned from supply leaving you with 95 tokens. However, this fee of 5 tokens is then divided two ways; 2.5 tokens (50% of the 5% burn cost) of ‘all’ transactions incurred in our network will be returned as rewards to the main staking pool. The remaining 2.5 tokens are burned from supply forever, combatting inflationary pressures during the early growth phase of the project.

It’s important to note, all of our gaming dApps are playable on Polygon network, where no burn fee or gas costs occurs (so players are not penalised for playing these games). The burns in this instance only incur when a player enters or exits the platform therefore, making it a highly rewarding experience. On top of this, if you’re also staking in the Vanilla pool you will benefit from the burns where players enter or leave a platform.

For that reason, despite the fact that we promote trading, it’s to the advantage of all individuals in the ecosystem to continuously be a part of the Vanilla Network. It’s important to note, to ‘claim’ your rewards you will not incur a fee in this instance. In addition, you also have the ability to reinvest your rewards to compound returns from this volume based protocol.
